An average fish will be between 0cm and 0cm (0ft to 0ins) A big FISH is around the 0cm (0ft) mark. DISTRIBUTION: The Vendace is only found in the Lake District (2) and Scotland (2) - The only confirmed English populations lately are in Bassenthwaite Lake and Derwentwater in Cumbria. These can only be caught under special EA licence for research purposes. The Scottish population - one population has not been recorded since shortly after a sewage works was opened in the early 1900's, and the species has not been recorded at the other site for well over a 10 years, so that population may well be extinct. HABITS: Vendace are shoaling fish. DIET: The natural diet includes anything edible that moves - plankton, small crustaceans and larvae. BAITS: None permitted.
