There is free fishing in Monmouth / Trefynwy on the River Monnow / Afon Mynmy, In the town center is the Monnow bridge (medeval with tower) . Free fishing under the bridge for 400 yds on both banks. Great Roach and Dace fishing.

Apparantly there is also free fishing further down stream on the left bank but we need confirmation on that one.

Directions/Parking: There is a Carpark by the bridge with a dirt track heading down to the bank, to get to the other bank you must walk over the bridge.
